Summary

In this blog post, I started by introducing myself . Next, I also included three pictures of useful ICT (Information and Communication Technology) tools such as Google search as informative tool, padlet as communicative tool , and c-map as constructive tool.Under each image , I shared my personal thoughts and experiences about how these tools work and how they have helped me in my learning. As a future teacher, I also thought about how I can use these tools to support students with different learning styles and needs. I also talk about two assitive tools that make learning easier for people with learning disabilities : speech-to-text software (which turns spoken words into written text) and FM system tool.I explain how these tools support different learners and making learning more effectively and accessib. Finally ,I also added an educational video about "Athang Tsho "serves as a informative tool to  give more information about informative tool.

Picture book as informative tool The picture book “The Lake That Came to Athang” serves as an informative tool for primary-level children in several meaningful ways. Firstly, it introduces children to a local Bhutanese folktale rooted in cultural beliefs, helping to preserve and pass down oral storytelling traditions and spiritual concepts such as the Tshomen, or water spirit. This encourages appreciation for Bhutanese heritage and rural lifestyles, including elements like highland herders, yaks, rice fields, and village gatherings. Secondly, the story develops moral understanding by conveying important values such as kindness, the importance of keeping promises, and respecting the sacred or magical. Through these lessons, children are encouraged to reflect on actions and consequences in a culturally meaningful way. Thirdly, the book helps build language and listening skills. As children engage with the story through reading or listening, they are exposed to new vocabulary, sente...

Reflection on Assistive Technologies in Inclusive Classrooms Inclusive education means that all students, no matter their abilities or disabilities, should have equal chances to learn and take part in class. Assistive technology (AT) helps make this possible by supporting students with special needs. In this reflection, I will talk about text - to-speech software tool often used in inclusive classrooms. I will share what I learned about them, how they help students, and how I plan to use them when I become a teacher. Text-to-Speech (TTS) Software Text-to-Speech (TTS) software changes written text into spoken words. It is very useful for students who have trouble reading, like those with dyslexia, poor eyesight, or other learning difficulties. As I learned more about TTS, I saw how it helps students understand their lessons better. When they hear the words while also seeing them, it helps them focus and understand more. This kind of learning help in seeing and hearing at the same t...

Reflection on Assistive Technologies in Inclusive Classrooms Inclusive education means that all students, no matter their abilities or disabilities, should have equal chances to learn and take part in class. Assistive technology (AT) helps make this possible by supporting students with special needs. In this reflection, I will talk about FM system tool often used in inclusive classrooms. I will share what I learned about them, how they help students, and how I plan to use them when I become a teacher. FM system FM (Frequency Modulation) systems are special listening devices that help students with hearing problems hear more clearly in the classroom. These systems include a microphone worn by the teacher and a receiver worn by the student. The teacher’s voice goes directly to the student’s ear, making it easier for them to hear, even when there is background noise or the teacher is far away. FM systems help students with hearing loss take part in lessons, understand instructions, a...

Constructive tool

C-Map as a constructive tool This photo was taken during the learning session on ICT as constructive tools. In this session, I have created a c -map on topic food chain. This c-map represents my understanding of the food chain, showing a clear relationship between producers and consumers. Reflection on C-maps as a Constructive Tool. When I first used a C-map (concept map), I felt more engaged and focused. It was interesting to see how ideas could be connected visually. I enjoyed arranging the concepts in a way that made sense to me, which gave me a sense of control over my learning. It felt satisfying to build a complete picture from separate pieces of information. When I created a C-map on the food chain, I felt more engaged and curious. I started with simple ideas like "Plants" and added arrows to show how energy flows. It felt satisfying to connect each part — from plants to herbivores, then to carnivores. Visually building the map helped me understand the process better tha...

Communicative tool

Image
This photo was taken during the learning session on ICT as communicative tools. In this session ,we have discussed about why we integrate a communicative tool in teaching and learning through this communicative tool called Padlet. Reflection on Padlet as a Communicative Tool Using Padlet made me feel excited and more engaged in class discussions. I enjoyed seeing everyone’s responses displayed in one space, which created a sense of community. I felt encouraged to share my own thoughts without fear of being judged. Emotionally, I felt more connected with my classmates, and intellectually, I was able to think deeper about the topic “Why do we integrate a communication tool in teaching and learning?” because I could see diverse perspectives. Padlet helped me reflect not only on my own views but also on the value of using such tools to promote inclusive participation in the classroom. This experience highlighted the importance of using communication tools in education. Padlet allowed every...

Informative tools

Google search as informative tool The above photo is a Google Search, which I have selected as an informative tool. This tool helps us access various information and facts easily and quickly. Whenever I have a question or want to learn something new, I can simply type it into Google and find articles, videos, images, and news related to the topic. Reflection on Google Search as an Informative Tool Google Search acts as an informative tool by helping people find information quickly and easily. When we  type a question or topic into the search bar, it gives us  links to websites, articles, videos, images, and news related to our query. This allows us to learn about almost any subject instantly. It supports independent learning by letting us research topics on our own. It also helps in decision-making by providing up-to-date facts, opinions, and data. Because Google shows many sources, we can compare information and think critically about what we read. Using Google Search a...
